until proven guilty in a court of law.
Here are just a few examples of some of the news stories regarding our office:
On June 16, 2010 a Sullivan County Jury deliberated less than 45 minutes before it found Elizabeth Puckett guilty of trafficking with an Inmate a class C felony. To see the WTHI story about the trial, click on the picture below:
On May 14, 2010 the Sullivan City Fire Department, in conjunction with local police and emergency personel, put on a mock DUI accident for the students of Sullivan high school. On May 5, 2010, WTHI interviewed prosecutor Bob Hunley and chief probation officer Barb Lance about the hope of establishing the Sullivan County Community Corrections Department. This would give the Prosecution more alternatives in sentencing and would benifit the community by easing jail overcrowding and put first time offenders out on work crews cleaning up Sullivan County.
